This is awesome. The combination of a childhood love with something I love now. Damon Albarn from the Gorillaz is writing an opera in Mandarin of the fabel of Monkey . Which is a chinese(thanks Geral) legend and was made into a TV show in the 70's that they replayed quite a bit. I loved it when I was a kid. Its going to play at the Manchester International festival. Heres the article I read in the times on the weekend.

Monkey is back......
