So after sitting in a cafe and writing my views on obscurity. I walked along and ran into some art that I do love. Dali.
A girlfriend took me to an art exhibition in Italy of his about six years ago. I really enjoyed it and still do. I think its because he sucks you in with something that looks simple and understandable. But then the obscurity begins and you really do spend a lot of time staring and trying to translate the small elements he has included. (got to love surrealism). I think its also interesting that his work became more obscure as he got older, they say because his cataracts got worse. Making it harder for him to actually see clearly. For some reason they let you take photos in there. So here they are on my flickr.
